Summary:
The Broadband Analyst provides administrative support, serves as the broadband (DayNet) customer service specialist, assists with marketing and sales, and maintains all records and the budget for the Information Technology and Broadband Services departments.
This position is not considered a safety-sensitive position.
Specific Duties:
Administrative Assistant Consult with the Director of Information Technology and Broadband Services as required to prioritize and schedule work.
Participate in the implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for the Department.
Order equipment and supplies as needed.
Responsible for Department's Fixed Asset schedule.
Creates and maintains records and files as required.
Responsible for credit card reconciliations and requisitions.
Tracks and maintains the Department budget.
Assists in the annual audit preparation.
Attends board and departmental meetings as required.
Makes prudent and independent decisions as they apply to assigned daily activities.
Performs other duties as required.
Marketing and Sales Performs sales, enrollment and support of Broadband services.
Assists with the ongoing marketing of all Broadband services via campaigns, social media, and website.
Required to make direct contact with Commercial and Residential prospects to support the marketing and sales campaigns.
Expected to make cold calls as part of the sales process.
Build positive relationships with current and potential customers.
Customer Service Specialist Schedules installations for Broadband service connectivity.
Will also maintain the installation schedule.
Interacts with customers via telephone, email, online chat, or in-person to provide support and information.
Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customer's problems and concerns.
Maintains customer accounts and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments.
Uses knowledge of a specific product, service, or other assigned area of responsibility to answer inquiries or to forward to the appropriate staff.
Responds to inquiries about departmental activities courteously and informatively.
Coordinates with various public and private institutions in exchanging information and maintaining communication networks.
Enrolls and updates new and existing customers for Broadband services.
Provides necessary equipment as needed for new and existing customers.
Essential Functions (Planning Assistant):
Ability to effectively communicate in oral and written communications Ability to operate commercial telephones Ability to use office equipment such as calculator, copier, fax machine, computer, printer, etc.
Must have intermediate-level training in Google Workspace applications such as Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.
Ability to perform with minimal supervision Ability to perform under stress when confronted with an emergency and/or critical situations Physical Demands:
Ability to remain seated for long periods of time.
May be required to carry, hold, lift, pull, or push items or supplies with a maximum weight of 35 pounds.
Required Education, Degrees, Certificates, and/or Licenses:
High school diploma or GED Valid Texas Driver's License A combination of education and experience that indicates a level of skill and knowledge necessary to fulfill the duties of this position may be considered in lieu of the education and experience requirements listed above.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
