We manufacture and market prestressed PC-strand and welded wire reinforcement, including engineered structural mesh, concrete pipe reinforcement and standard welded wire reinforcement for concrete reinforcement applications.
The company operates ten manufacturing facilities in eight states.

Summary The position will require you to train and learn the full knowledge of safe manufacturing procedures as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures and Job Hazard Analysis.
As a part of the production team, the operators will work closely with all departments to ensure minimum downtime, peak performance, and high-quality products.
He / She works daily to ensure assigned areas of responsibility are working with risk lowered to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) specifically in an effort to achieve ZERO HARM so no injuries, illness or negative impact occurs to employees, property, the environment or the community.
Operates Mesh Welder in a safe and efficient manner to produce product.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Other duties may be assigned.
Level 1 Requirements:
(to be completed and trained in 3 months) Knows safety equipment and is aware of machine safety procedures.
Reads a micrometer.
Knows welder terminology.
Knows welder parts.
Reads and understands a Mesh Build Sheet.
Makes butt welds.
Level 2 Requirements:
(to be completed and trained in 6 months) Organizes welder changeover.
Performs welder changeover.
Performs a secondary task including a quality procedure in backfield.
Level 3 Requirements:
(to be completed and trained in 9 months) Performs shift preparation on the coiler Knows coiler setup and operation Performs coiler and welder changeover Performs a secondary task including a quality procedure on coiler.
Level 4 Requirements:
(to be completed and trained in 12 months) Performs welder patchwork.
Checks computer for mill order balance.
Knows how to rotate without set-up responsibilities.
Knows set-up procedures-demonstrates on paper welder set-ups understanding terminology and purpose.
Operates welder in the absence of a Level 5 employee.
Level 5 Requirements:
(Optional) Performs welder startup and operation.
Performs welder changeover including complex orders.
Sets welder heat, cycle and slope.
Trains other employees on the welder.
Maintains base efficiency with quality production-quarterly.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent; ability to complete simple forms and understand simple written instructions.
Ability to perform simple arithmetic skills involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals.
Experience:
Preferred minimum of 3 months work-related experience.
An equivalent combination of education and work-related experience will be preferred.
