Targa is currently seeking a Terminal Supervisor for their facility located in Dayton, TX.
Job Responsibilities
Optimize asset utilization of tractors and trailers by effectively managing all maintenance
Develop and implement pro-active maintenance program ensuring that we are rotating assets through mandatory inspections and testing; and, providing routine maintenance to insure that tractors are do not go down
.Implement Targa?s safety management program for all drivers insuring that all drivers and equipment are in compliance - - coordinating with Corporate ESH group and with Dispatch center
Maintaining all equipment files in accordance to DOT standards; comply with all regulations and attend audits
Supervise transport drivers operating in LA, MS and Florida (and others as may be required); supervise Terminal technicians at Mont Belvieu and Hammond
Aid dispatch with problem solving; insure that all commercial business is completed
Work with operations management and personnel at Targa Lake Charles, Calcascieu Refining, Hattiesburg Terminal, Domestic marketing and other 3rd party personnel as required to ensure needs are met
Provide emergency response and incident management for all incidents involving LA/MS or FL drivers, or, on a rotational basis with S. TX Transport Manager
Provide leadership and guidance to drivers
Be familiar with all DOT regulations for fleet operations, ensuring that all drivers are compliant; investigating identified exceptions and provide training/instruction to team
Manage the maintenance budget for South TX
Schedule and optimize maintenance with vendors, drivers and dispatchers
Order parts and manage/maintain shop inventory of tires, lubricants and spare parts with regard to budget management and pro-active management
Insure that shop is maintained in compliance with all regulatory requirements and Targa safety standards
Provide backup for South TX Transport manager; cover vacations and trade weekend on-call status to manage incidents? this job requires 24/7, 365 day of the year coverage.
Minimum Essential Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years Transport operational experience
Proficient with Microsoft applications including word, power point and excel
Able to work independently and be self-directed
Willing to work after hours including evening, weekends and holidays
Able to multi-task and juggle competing priorities in a fast paced sometimes intense work environment
High degree of communication skills and comfortable interacting at all levels of the organization
Regular and reliable attendance
Preferred Qualifications
4 year degree from an accredited University
Diesel Mechanic License
Previous experience operating a fleet, dispatching trucks, supervising drivers and/or performing tractor/trailer maintenance
Prior supervisory experience
Previous experience with hazardous material logistics management

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
